umm awesome! I love thaT imperial knights are gaining stream and also having different variations. you have the new republic variant, the roan fel variant, and the marasiah aggressive negotiation variant. awesome

I think it's cool as well! There were some interesting ideas explored with them in Legends, but they didn't really take any hold on the meta. They can be power players with some of the new options released, and my goal with this piece is to provide a variant to go in some squads while maybe helping replace the functions of the v-set IK Master in some ways as well.
If you have any familiarity with the character, feel free to throw some ideas for abilities and a power level (meaning around how much we'd want it to cost) or synergies with various other pieces already created. Or even if you don't really know the character lol

Bump for update, just going through some ideas, the CE can help with failed OR successful saves, which may benefit cortosis if you want to risk it? But restricted to IKs so no double swap potential or whatever.

roan fel gives out evade. don't think rerolling saves would be good. can we limit it to lightsaber block saves or something?

Fair concerns, we can go with something else. On another note, I thought Roan gave out Twin? I knew they could get Evade from the v-set IK piece, but didn't know if there was a way for them to get it that easily in our version, so another reason it definitely should be changed. Anyhoo, any ideas for a new CE?

Certainly doesn't have to have it, I just intended to give it some function to assist IK squads with some CE since we don't have pieces like the IK Master any longer.

I am not against it just wondering and we need to find the right fit. Will need play testing I think before we will know exactly what is needed.
so maybe we find a starting point and work from there.
roan fel grants evade and makes one ik a bodyguard for him and keys ik retool one attack and if they miss they take 10 damage

They were getting Evade from the IK SL from the v-sets, but ranged defense isn't all so critical in our version. But perhaps something similar to boost their defensive capabilities? Maybe that ability (defensive stance?) where they get +x defense after being activated? Kills some of the Thrawn reliance too, as it's a benefit to going FIRST.

Don't think he needs 30 base damage. Because, right now, I'm just gonna run him as an attacker in a Thrawn squad and have him double and extra from Imperial Governer Tarkin and be doing 120 damage pretty easily, 150 if I wanted to run the 22pt Marisiah. I can easily get him, Thrawn, Kallus, Tarkin, and some other good stuff.

since we are keeping lame thrawn you could give him loyalty that I have on ganner krieg coming out. if it fits this guy.

I like the 'Loyalty' idea. Maybe we can even go to Double with that!
I would still like to toss a CE to maybe help the IKs just a little if possible, though, so suggestions still welcome there!
Something to give a boost (even if not something like 'Evade') against ranged defense, OR something to give a bit of movement, or a bonus for going first or last since they won't have things like Thrawn now. The quote that is on his wiki page makes me think something like sifo-dyas' delayed reinforcements type-ability would be fitting, but I don't really think it'd WORK here (always tough to balance reserves and such, especially on pieces that aren't really meant to be played for them).
