I can see Draw Fire coming off, since Spar gives him Stealth making it sort of counter-productive. I almost had him simply give Survival Expert to Spar via Camaraderie, but I needed a CE and figured why not just do it this way? The CE is worded so that it can go to future protectors, elite protectors, battle legionnaire droids... Whatever we'd like to add to the sub-faction in the future I do think maybe it should be a Twin Attack CE rather than Double, for the sakes of preventing future Protector followers from getting this boost AND Twin, but then we can give the Single-Shot in the future too, if need be...

how does spar give him stealth? it's only for followers. spars camaraderie gives him sniper.

Ah, good catch! I went over the Spar/Fenn interactions kinda as I was in a hurry and didn't pay attention to that.
In that case, Draw Fire away!
Any other feelings about the piece as a whole? Anything you see that looks like it could be iffy or a problem, or something that would be neat as an addition?

I don't see anything. what other mando protectors are there?
play testing will show if the draw fire armor combo it's too much.

was looking at these two. spar can, in the right situation drop 100 damage. this character can shot with sniper fire 80. might have to be looked at. I can't say I am thrilled about armor saves for 7 tbh. something that will just have to be looked at as well.
I am thinking about a protector melee piece to go with these guys. giving double will be very problematic since people can grab twin those three comes to 105 cost

I currently have 30 base damage on this guy, just because most of the other Mandalores have it lol, but that's not a good enough reason to keep it that high should it prove problematic (his cost may can come up a bit, too). If he were down to 20, he'd have a damage output of 40-60, but also have pretty good lasting ability with Armor and SE, plus Draw Fire and his CE for some good tech. Should you decide to make a Protector of some kind, I'd love to see what you come up with On Spar's above-average damage output, I think the reason there hasn't been much concern for it is that Merciless +20 only works half the time, and won't work twice on the same target really; I could see that going to Merciless 10 if it has to with this new synergy, since he's fairly potent for a shooter with 100+Beskar'gam, but I'd imagine the only real concern may be Jedi Hunter going twice with him being a bit much possibly. But maybe an occasional shooter that does well against melee would be ok. Maybe just switch to Jedi Hatred and raise the attack by 1 or 2? Or if in testing he's doing too much damage for the combo after all, it could be dropped completely; at that point he can deal 40 damage, 60 or 80 if he targets a character or two with half hit points or less, which isn't particularly high, but he still has that Beskar + Survival Expert combo and a neat CE.

Regardless if this guy was Mandalore or not, Mandalore's Armor is something we need to be careful about handing out. I'm not against it, it's just something we need to be careful about handing out.
Survival Expert has to be cut out. It's a dumb ability in the vsets, it remains a dumb ability here. We do have things that give a plus or minus to saves in our version but it's usually a plus or minus 2. Also with like Council Member it is conditional to where they have to be activated. Any piece that has Survival Expert has to lose it.

No problems! I figured MA would go on since he was Mandalore, but could be changed if it didn't work, so if it needs to go to Beskar or something else (or, if too much, nothing at all lol), it's certainly fine with me!
I'm definitely open to suggestions to replace SE with something similar or just something else.

I'd say drop Survival Expert from his text and his CE. Drop Base damage to 20, drop cost to 35.

I play tested this piece again. I think the protector army is unique and fun. flight and armor on them with good but not op damage output makes for a brand if you will.
mandalores armor still really makes me mad because of plus to defense. mid cost jedi struggle to drop damage sometimes and it is annoying to miss by 1 or 2.
I say make the armor beskar'gam make def base 20.
but other than that possibility I think this character is done
